SPECIALTY FOOD & CURATED GIFTS

SHOP SMALL + SHOP LOCAL

MCCREA'S CARAMELS

Founded by Jason McCrea, a scientist with a chemistry background and a passion for quality ingredients, McCrea’s caramels are truly some of the finest caramel products available. Each step of the caramel-making process is carefully performed by a skilled team of food scientists in their small Boston kitchen.

Using all natural, locally sourced ingredients—often skipping corn syrup—produces decadently sweet caramel treats. McCrea’s assorted boxed caramels are a beautiful gift, popular in our North Truro shop.

THE LOCAL SCOOP

Cape Cod Pops from the Local Scoop are always a fan-favorite treat at Chequessett Chocolate. These homemade ice cream popsicles are rolled in delicious, local toppings, from beer buttered peanut brittle to coffee beans. One of their pops, the Rum Raisin Pop, even features our own Chequessett Chocolate!

A Cape Cod company based out of Orleans, the Local Scoop makes innovative “Farm to Scoop” ice cream treats with a mission of supporting local food producers. In addition to their brick-and-mortar shop and the various stores that stock their goods, the Local Scoop has a whimsical “Pop Mobile” that visits farmer’s markets all around the Cape.

GIRL MEETS DIRT

Based on Orcas Island in the Pacific Northwest, Girl Meets Dirt makes high quality, organically sourced, small batch preserves from the best fruit nature provides. Using old-school methods, minimal ingredients, and naturally grown fruit, these preserves are packed with exceptional flavor.

Founder Audra Lawlor left the world of Wall Street finance to start her preserves company in 2013, leaving behind pavement and high rises for luscious farmland. Now, Lawlor makes crazy good, award-winning products. We love their decadent Salted Caramel Apple Preserves.

FAT TOAD FARM

Since 2007, Fat Toad Farm has made goat’s milk caramel with fresh, simple ingredients. The family started the project with a single goat, and as they grew, they eventually acquired a herd of dairy goats.

This Vermont company has expanded considerably over the years, yet they remain true to their goal of producing high quality, traditional goat’s milk caramel. Their original caramel sauce, a velvety, tangy topping, is a fan-favorite at Chequessett Chocolate.

SMUDGE INK

Smudge Ink is a small collective of friends who combined their talent for illustration, print-making, and card-writing into an awesome, woman-run business. Producing lighthearted, punchy greeting cards, Smudge Ink’s line of products puts the fun back in snail mail.

This Boston-based company produces all their goods in their own studio with the utmost awareness of environmental impact. We believe that their colorful cards are a perfect add-on to any chocolate gift.

BLACKBIRD LETTERPRESS

Kathryn Hunter began Blackbird Letterpress in 2003 in Lafayette, Louisiana. In the backroom of a friend’s shop, she began printing her own designs with a simple letterpress. Hunter used vintage print cuts and an extensive knowledge of printmaking to produce stunning cards, notebooks, and other small handcrafts.

An ever-expanding business, Blackbird Letterpress now operates out of its own space in Baton Rouge. We love Blackbird Letterpress’s gorgeous wall calendars and greeting cards. Each piece of theirs adds whimsy and color to our space.

OLIVER PLUFF & CO.

A small business out of Charleston, South Carolina, Oliver Pluff & Co. preserves the time-honored tradition of early American tea. Celebrating this drink’s colorful history with superior ingredients and delicate blends, Oliver Pluff pays homage to tea’s role in the American story.

We love their Irish Breakfast tea, a rich blend of Assam black tea and Kenyan black tea with a malty, hearty flavor.
